Using OSMO: Learning English with Technology

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share with you all that we have started using OSMO in many of our lessons as a way to try using new technology and techniques to help our students learn English in a more interactive and efficient manner.

My guess is that you're probably wondering what OSMO is. Aren't ya? ;) Well, in short, it's a new system which allows students to use an iPad in convination with real objects (like a wooden alphabet or geometrical shapes) to learn words and concepts in fun and interactives ways with each other.

Although I was a little hesitant to start using it the first time, it quickly became evident that the students not only absoultely love using it, but that they're also learning new vocabulary words and spelling at a much faster pace than before.

I'm truly inspired and excited to continue to use technology to open our students' minds and horizons further.

The world and technology change and evolve on a daily basis; so should the way we teach.
